About this Car Seat

Safety is the name of the game with the Kinderkraft I-GUARD I-size Car Seat! It has lots of great features to help keep your little one safe in the event of an accident. Firstly, there’s the H-Guard System which is focused on keeping your little treasure’s head, neck and shoulders safe. The head guard moves up as your child grows, keeping the same high level of throughout the whole life of the car seat. Then there’s the Side Protect System which provides greater safety in side impacts thanks to the specially reinforced casing. The seat also has an Anti-Rebound system which helps to stop the seat moving in an accident. The seat is classed as an extended rear facing seat, which means although you can change your little on to forward facing from 15 months old (and at least 76cm) you can in fact leave them rear-facing until 4 years old which is considered the safest way for them to travel.

The integrated base is installed in your car via the ISOFIX points and has a support leg. It’s really easy to install in your car and it also has installation indicators, which means no more worrying if you’ve put the seat in properly as you will be able to see that you have!

Keeping them safe and in place in the seat is a five-point harness with an anti-slip system to stop the straps from slipping down off your child’s shoulders, which is obviously not safe!

There’s a host of great functions and features of the I-GUARD that makes your life easier. It’s a rotating seat, which means it’s so easy to get them in and out of the car, you just turn the seat towards where you're standing at the door, no more awkward contortions strapping them in! Best of all, it rotates the full 360°, so you can get them in from either side.

If they need to snooze while they’re in their seat, then there’s the option to recline the seat too. With just one hand you can recline the seat making them happier and comfier, and happier and comfier kids mean happier journeys all round! Assisting in the comforting are the ventilation holes, these holes help airflow through the seat keeping them cool on muggy days.

The Easy Grow System makes adapting the size of the seat to your child’s height a dream. There are six different positions for you to move the headrest to as they grow and as you move the headrest the harness straps come too, no awkward rethreading! For newborns and smaller children, the I-GUARD comes with an insert to ensure that even the teeniest of babies are safe and snug in the seat.

If they get the seat mucky (they will!) then you can easily remove the fabrics and pop them in the washing machine.
