The Toria Elite is built around the energy-absorbing shell, which will spread the harmful forces from a collision throughout the seat and away from your child. On the side of the seat is a removable side impact absorber, it should be placed on the side of the seat nearest to the car door. This Advanced Side Protection system also helps to spread and reduce the harmful energy from an impact.
The height-adjustable backrest means your little one is both comfortable as well as safe; this is part of Recaro's patented HERO harness system. The shoulder pads, shoulder straps and headrest are all one unit so as you lift the headrest the straps move with it, not only ensuring the straps are always at the correct height but stopping them from slipping and twisting too. The belt tongues on the straps are also coated, which reduces how hot they get when left in the sun and therefore, reduces the chance of burning your little one’s sensitive skin.
The super-safe 5-point safety harness is part of the HERO system and when they reach 105cm (approx. 4 years old), it's time to move them out of the harness into the car's traditional seat belt. The straps and buckles from the 5-point harness are easily stowed away inside the shell of the car seat and best of all, this conversion into a seat for older kids can be done while the seat is still fixed in place in the car!
The seat is fixed inside the car via ISOFIX points and a top-tether strap. These three anchor points ensure that the seat stays in position in the event of an accident and once installed keep the seat in place even if no one's sitting in the seat.
The Toria Elite has various ways to keep your little treasure comfy and happy, like the luxurious foam in the seat that adapts to the shape of your child's body offering the highest levels of comfort. The shell of the Toria Elite has been designed to provide excellent ventilation throughout the seat, the ventilation system is made up of openings in the outer shell and the soft mesh fabric which lets air flow freely around the seat. You know yourself how a stuffy car with sticky seats isn't any fun, so this feature is sure to make kids happy on their travels. If it's a long journey then they may want a bit of a snooze, well the Toria Elite had five different levels of recline and the recline can be set easily with one hand while the child is in the seat.
One of the coolest features of the Toria Elite is the bit your kid will really enjoy, but so will you!! Built into the headrest of the seat is an integrated speaker as well as a place to connect an MP3 player so your little one can listen to their own choice of music, whether that be Baby Shark or the latest chart hits, which means mum or dad can listen to their own choice of music for a change - everyone's happy!!
