Start with the base and build your own train with the Melissa and Doug Train Stacker. There are 15 blocks to use that are easy to grasp and build onto the rods and design your train. These are different shapes all in bright colours to stimulate your little one's mind. Whilst they are doing this they are also practicing their fine motor skills and developing their cognitive functions.
The blocks can be used off the train as well for stacking and building and best of all knocking them over. The carriages on the train can also be removed from the engine to make the train shorter.
Many people don't know but Melissa and Doug are real people - they started the company and are still the main driving force behind it. They have 6 kids of their own and all of their toys go through product testing from their harshest critics! From their offices in Connecticut in America, they make all of their prototypes from design to the completed item, before it goes off to the factory to be made.
