About this Car Seat

With this fantastic lightweight infant carrier, you’ll have no trouble swinging little ones out of the car and heading into the shops. At just 2.8kg you can carry it by the sturdy handle or take advantage of the fact that the Nuna PIPA NEXT can be easily installed on any Nuna Stroller.

If you have them on a pushchair and you’re out and about you may wish for your little nipper to be protected from the sun or just covered while they have a nap. The PIPA Next comes with a Dream Drape, which is a removable, full-coverage UPF50+ sun canopy. The smooth action ensures that you won’t wake them with any jerky movements or loud sounds and it’s held in place by magnets for easy installation. 

Keeping them comfy, snug and safe are the included newborn inserts. These soft cushions are made from patented Tailor tech memory foam that will keep them snug and stop them from sliding or moving around in the seat.

It can be installed in virtually any car while using the belted fitting but we would recommend using the Nuna BASE NEXT. This makes getting it in and out of the car so much easier and not only that, when on the base the whole package achieved a coveted 4-star ‘good’ rating from ADAC. Even better, the base is compatible with the next-stage car seat from the Nuna NEXT range, the TODL NEXT.

Just because it’s lightweight doesn’t mean that safety has been sacrificed. The PIPA NEXT has automatic side impact protection, which consists of wings on the side of the seat that pop out automatically. This simple yet effective device helps to spread the forces of impact around the seat, through the EPP energy-absorbing foam and away from your precious cargo. 

There are also a few more features to make life easier for you. There’s the no re-thread harness, which moves automatically when you adjust the height of the headrest, it’s so simple, you can do it with one hand! If you’re travelling with a little one, then you’ll be glad to hear that the PIPA NEXT is TUV certified, which means it’s certified safe for airline travel, although it is always recommended that you check with the airline before travelling.
